Question #1:

help with metropcs plan (data part)?

i am looking at getting a metro pcs phone (samsung admire is looking good) with the $50/month plan so i can text my husband in mexico and use the metronavigator since my gps conveniently quit on me. thre is also another plan that is $50/month for the LTE phones (which would be nice to have if i can afford the extra bit for the phone) but it says 1 GB of streaming media. not sure what that part means. on a daily basis i would listen to pandora 2-4 hours, use a couple apps including facebook and games and metronavigator as needed and when i shop and i want to try a new product i like to look at reviews so i would be using web browsing a lot (also using the web to tether to my laptop since i do not have internet at home). so which plan would be able to do all this? sorry this is so long but im not entirely "tech savvy" :) thank you so much for any help.

Will iphones ever have free internet?

Will internet capable phones every eliminate their 30 dollar or so charge on internet access. Also does Verizon have any reduction in the price for college students....because i've kept my old phone for 4 years and I think i'm finally ready for an internet capable phone for email etc. etc.

So, I met this great guy, but id only been single 2 months so I had my guard up a little Because I didn't want to fall for him too easy. He is really interested in me, we had been talking for a month straight, he was going to come to see me but got ill and had to go hospital for tests, so I said when you are bettter we can re-schedule.

Ever since he's been more distant, and he has anaemia so its not like he's in surgery or anything. After sending a few texts and getting no response over the course of a week I decided I deserve better than time wasters and just gave up. Then a few days ago he contacted me online saying Because he hasn't been at work Because he has been unwell he hadn't paid his phone/internet bill so couldn't text or Facebook me, and he was sorry and he is still interested and he would be paying his phone on Friday.

I felt bad for thinking he was being a jerk so I was like well this is plausible its probably me reading into it too much, so I was like no worries just text me when you get it sorted if you like.

Soit is now Monday, my sister had to borrow my mobile when she went to a sleeopver (long story) so I text him to say don't text me until I text you Because my sis has got the phone. I got the phone back today and text him at 5pm ish saying I had the phone back, and I Haven't heard from him still.

I am confused because when we chat on Skype and text and email he seems so eager, like he seems more eager than me saying things like "how weird am I I've fallen for a girl I've never met yet" etc and said "this time next year we will be on a beach somewhere" like he sees me in his future, and I can feel myself falling for him I can't help it, but then when he's like missing in action I never know if he is just busy, ill, not paid bill yet, or whether he has gone off me?

So confused please help me I'm really trying to spare my feelings here :/

Anyone know about mobile phones?

I just bought a mobile from ebay and the Australian shop ( in QLD) claimed that this is an UNLOCKED mobile. However when I have received it many of the applications that were already on the desktop were Telstra applications. Dows that mean that it was or IS still locked to Telstra? I have put in my Vodafone Sim card and it transfered on to my phone and I can make and receive calls and have my address list in place.. but what does everything mean in terms of using the internet etc?? will I be able to just change the WI FI or internet connection on to VODAFONE? was the phone not locked to Telstra but rather just a Telstra endorsed phone ??
Thanks Michael thats exactly what I thought that it really was unlocked. Soooo.. so that means I will have to go to a vodafone store and ask them about their code in order to change to THEIR "Network" connection.. so that I can start using their internet service.. ok - I got you :):). Ok the Wi FI thingi is for when I am at Mc'cas etc.... or at a coffee shop that has internet service reception. OK got Ya! (im not too mobile savvy- getting a littel old :P)

Is 3 Mbps a good speed for "4G" wireless internet?

That's what I average (not max possible) on T-Mobile's best phone in the heart of a major city. What do you AT&T and Verizon people get on their good 3G network for iPhones and also newly launched 4G LTE networks?
I thought everyone said T-Mobile was faster than Sprint...hmm, wow that's pretty good 6 Mbps.

Should i be worried about my friend?

My best friend for 6 years has recently changed and I'm not liking it. She used to be very mellow and laid back and not into the whole popularity thing. But ever since we started highschool she started to become a little obnoxious and always freaking out about her looks and what people think. Because of how she's been acting the popular crowd has "taken her under their wing" (so to speak) and she started dating guys left and right and dressing like a slut. She recently dated this senior who is known for his sexual prefrences and she says she didn't do ANYTHING with him but I've known her for so long and I know she lying to me. Also I was at her house one night and she went to the bathroom and I went to use her phone to go on the internet and when I started typing in the search engine I got LOADS if suggestions to porn sites and chatroom where you like have virtual sex and stuff.( I know becuz my brother likes to not log off his computer after he's done.) And I was surprised becuz she comes from a very strict Christian family and they believe anything sexual is horrid. So should I sit and talk to her about what she's doing or just let her be. P.S.- I'm not like a loner or anything, I'm the captin of the cheer squad and I have popular friends but I just choose not to be popular. Thx for the help.

Ok so i always use the vodafone £10 for 300 free texts and internet but it hasn't come up yet? Basically it has been about 16 days since my pack expired and i topped up the £10 about 30 mins ago and nothing happened - my phone is a little dodgy with credit and seems to lose it without me actually going on anything, so now my credit is £9.61 so my question is: why did i not get my text immediately and will vodafone recognize that i did top up the £10 because otherwise i am going to have to last a month with about 90 texts and i cant do that...
it fixed itself so i'm in a good mood comment with anything first and i will give u the 10 points!!! ... GOOOOOO!!

When I try to download or update apps on my Android phone it says in the notifications bar "starting download" and then disappears and does not do anything. It has been like this for a few weeks now and I have tried the internet connection and deleted all memory I don't need and it still won't do anything. Please help ?? Xx

So I have an iPhone 3GS and my contract is almost over. I'm scared to get any phone that's not the new iPhone because I don't know if I'll survive without an iPhone now I have one. They're brilliant. I've been looking at the blackberry bold, blackberry p'9981 (isn't released in the uk yet, know when?), the LG Optimus 3D and the Samsung Galaxy S II.
I want to know if you would advise me sticking with an iPhone, or offer some sort of alternative.
I'm looking for a large screened touch screen smart phone, with fast internet. Or a good phone with full qwerty keyboard and again fast Internet.
If you could help that's great, just want some advise on what phone to get or just to stick with iPhone 4s.
I use my current mobile for occasional phone calls, texting and mainly Internet for app downloads, browsing, YouTube etc.

Can i activate a smartphone on sprint.com if i dont have a data plan?

So i just activated my old phone today on sprint because the other one broke and i noticed they didnt ask any questions about it besides the ESN and so i was wondering if i could get like a blackberry or the HTC evo design and activate it online? i would get it unlocked off of ebay or somewhere and just activate it online. HELP!!! What should I do?

I accidently ordered weight loss pills. I am 14 and I am not allowed to order anything from the internet. I gave the website my real first name and part of my surname, fake phone number but real email address and address. No email was send to confirm my order or anything, and there was not any phone number or email address on the website, so there is not a way for me to cancel my order. They said it will be delivered in the next two to three working days. I will be home on Monday, I will just go to the doctor to take my cast off in the morning and then I will stay at home. I will be at home on Tuesday as well, I will only perhaps go to the dentist, but the problem is that at 4pm we are going to holidays (two weeks). My mother is always at home, as is my sister because she is ill. I know that I am a fool to do this but I just wanted to see if there is the option of ordering it and then buying at some store. I really do not know what to do. I know that if my parents will find out they will get really mad. I could tell my sister, but she sometimes forces me to tell my parents, if it is something like this. Could somebody help? And what will happen if the delivery will arrive when no one is home?

see when i got this dell laptop from sweepstakes clearing house it took forever to get my I tunes it took forever to load up even when i tried to record any video it froze when i first got it,so i went to this sight to fix my my laptop so it would not freeze on me and it would not let me do that at all it said no Connection and Pretty darn mad at this laptop,also every time i try to listen to spirit television it would disconnect my Internet and i would have to put my phone number back in and it happens just about every time

Was I right in what I told her?

A friend has been communicating with some guy for quite a while now. Some time ago he told her that he was sick..so several months go by where she doesn't hear from him. She VERY frequently sends email to him, but she doesn't get an answer. My friend does not have an address or phone number for this guy. My friend also claims to be in love with this guy, which I fail to understand, but I won't criticise it. When someone doesn't respond, there is no address or phone # for them, & you haven't met face-to-face, it tells me something..that the person who's not responding has lost interest.
I have suggested to my friend that the guy has 'disappeared'..perhaps he truly never wanted anything more than a 'virtual' relationship, AND she shouldn't persist in emailing him. If he becomes irritated with her constant email, he may tell her to stop & if she keeps on emailing, he could report it.
I honestly think my friend should walk away from this whole scenario. Personally, I don't think the guy is at all interested anymore if he ever was. You can't make a person talk to you if they don't want to. Was I right in what I told her?
I'll put this in the 'internet' section, because these people have never met.
Also, my friend is the very persistent type; at times won't take 'no' for an answer..insists she's in love with this guy.
I agree with "My Hero". He's right, but to suggest this to her would anger her. She won't accept the fact that people don't have faith in her 'relationship'. In my mind, a virtual relationship is make-believe.
I'm beginning to think my friend has mental health issues.
As for the idiot guy "My Hero" refers to...perhaps he's grown tired of the whole thing; which he's right in doing so.

use pc's internet to download games to phone? (Galaxy S2)?

Hi there.

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S2. I have some "hd" games which are about 1gig big, that my phone wants to download, but I just have 75mb of bandwidth monthly on my phone, yet I have uncapped internet on my landline, so obviously im not going to spend hundereds of dollars to download a game from my phone's internet, but I am wondering if there is a way to connect my phone via USB cable to the computer and then download the games onto my phone via my uncapped landline?

Is that at all possible? and if so, please provide rough guidelines towards doing so please..

@Winston, I know I can use WiFi, but we don't have WiFi in africa, so can I connect to the internet, through the computer, and download the HD game onto my phone? I already have the 20mb .apk of the HD game on my phone, now I need to download the HD game (aprox 1gig). Can I download it to phone through computer?
